Team Leader - Major Projects Solicitor

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based in Oxfordshire, which is in need of an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to head up their Major Projects team.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a well oiled and cohesive team at a fast-paced Local Authority.
ROLE: Team Leader Solicitor – Major Projects, Contracts and Property team
RATE: £60-£70ph umbrella (negotiable)
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 Months
LOCATION: Oxfordshire, office attendance would be required twice a week
The Role:

Assisting the Legal Services Manager in the strategic management of the Legal Service
Manage your own caseload of Major Projects, Contracts and Property legal work whilst assisting other members of the team with theirs
Representing the Council before the courts, tribunals and public enquiries as required
Contributing to the achievement of the Council’s corporate priorities and objectives by aligning the legal services provided by your team

The Person:

Someone with prior Local Authority legal experience within at least one of the teams legal disciplines (Major Projects, Contracts and Property) is essential.

Ideally someone who has a good understanding of all three disciplines
Someone with experience of managing a team of legal professionals
A qualified Solicitor, Lawyer of Legal executive with 5+ years PQE
