Warehouse OperativeBurnleyMon-Thurs 16:00-00:00 Fri 12:00-18:00£16.72 p/hWarehouse OperativeThe RoleWorking in and around the primary storage warehouse in a ‘hands-on’ role the Warehouse Operator uses manual handling, a variety of vehicles and computer systems to enable smooth flow of parts and materials from purchase receipt, through storage and supply into the factory for work. Warehouse OperativeMain Responsibilities
Unloading incoming goods using counterbalance FLTOpening deliveries ready for inspectionUnpacking deliveries post inspectionSorting used packaging for recyclingQuantity checkingPacking parts and materials in Fort Vale storage unitsLoading storage units into rackingRetrieving storage units when parts and materials are neededPreparing unloaded items for internal distributionInternal distribution of parts and materials
 Warehouse OperativeThe CandidateBasic computer skills (training in FV’s specific systems is provided)Competence with counterbalance FLT & VNA is an advantage.The WO will initially hold or will gain a counterbalance FLT license.

Training and certification in the use of other vehicles will be provided in order to meet the skills & abilities criteria.

Comfortable with manual handling of parts and materials in line manual handling operationsRegulations.
