Mechanical site engineer

Position: Mechanical Site EngineerSalary: Up to £36,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 3pm - 11pmLocation: Bedford ( site based ) Job Description:Recruit-Mint is seeking a skilled Mechanical Site Engineer for a key role with a thriving client.

This position involves supporting engineers with mechanical breakdowns and collaborating closely with the Special Projects Director and the engineering team. Key Responsibilities:· Promptly repair plant and machinery· Execute machine changes correctly and swiftly· Optimize machinery productivity· Investigate and prevent recurrence of complaints· Complete required GMP documentation and maintain repair logs· Provide information for quotations· Attend and contribute to daily scheduling meetings· Assist with training and create training programs as needed· Implement and follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance System· Maintain authorized spares stock and advise on needed spares· Monitor and control engineering subcontractors· Train others as necessary Candidate Profile:· Engineering experience in a production environment; open to apprentice-trained candidates eager to learn· Background in Pharma, Food, or Packaging industries· Effective problem-solving skills· Proactive in improving line efficiencies· Competent PC skills· Professional in handling production engineering issues· Detail-oriented in finding engineering solutions· Strong organizational skills· Flexible and initiative-driven Benefits:· On-site free parking· 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays
