The Company CBW is delighted to be working with a well-established, family-run manufacturer of passive fire protection products, based in the London Borough of Bexley. Specialising in high-quality fire-rated doors, this business has earned a great reputation for craftsmanship, safety, and promoting internal growth. Due to ongoing expansion, they’re now looking to welcome a hands-on Production Operative to their friendly and dedicated team.
The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and is keen to grow within the fire protection manufacturing industry. You’ll be trained across all areas of production, from manufacturing to installation and ongoing maintenance of fire-rated doors. The role offers full training, long-term stability, and clear career development within a supportive and growing team.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the manufacture, installation, and maintenance of passive fire protection doors
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Work from technical drawings and production specifications
Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the process
Support daily workshop operations, including materials handling and assembly
Work alongside senior team members to meet production targets and deadlines
Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed
What We’re Looking ForComfortable using hand tools (e.g., drills, saws, screwdrivers); carpentry experience is a plus
Eager to learn and happy to get stuck into a variety of tasks
Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and strong attention to detail
Able to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
Physically fit and confident in a hands-on role
Punctual, dependable, and safety-conscious
