Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Childcare Advocate to join their legal department. Please find below further details regarding this position.

ROLE: Childcare Advocate
LOCATION: London
CONTRACT: 6 to 12 months
RATE: £45.00 to £55.00 per hour

Please note that this role would require court attendance.

The Role of the Childcare Advocate

Provide advocacy at all levels of family courts, legal advice and responsive legal services to clients in respect of childcare law and other aspects of law in relation to children Represent Children Services in accordance with instructions in private and public law proceedings Provide advice on the law and practice in relation to child protection, adoption, human rights and any related proceedings involving vulnerable children

The Person

A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years PQE Experience of dealing with care proceedings within a local authority would be essential for this position
