Job Title: Production Manufacturing Supervisor

Based at: Runcorn

Position reports to: Head of OperationsSalary: £28,000Shifts: Monday- Thursday: 8am-5pm, Friday: 8am-2pm 

Job Purpose Summary

Supervise people and tasks within Manufacturing; consistent with established Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), customer requirements and in conjunction with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of job duties, while ensuring product compliance to established standards. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Supervision and personnel management (return to work, holidays, payroll, etc) of manufacturing and operational staff.Organise line activities and staffing to optimise production efficiency and to deliver the plan.Support delivery of the weekly production plan and drive manufacturing to achieve agreed targets and measures of performance.Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and operational staff, including management of training files.Responsible for ensuring GMP compliance in production areas including area cleaning, measurement of air differentials and logbook reviews and ensuring line status boards are up to date.Manage EHS training completion.Involvement in Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments reviews.Maintaining stock levels and ordering of consumables and PPE.Review of new or updated batch records, SOPs, and creation of logbooks.Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.Understands quality standards and assists in applying the standards in both documentation and processes.Involvement in Deviations and 8D investigations, implementation of CAPAs including tracking and monitoring of department compliance progress.Performs other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and Company objectives.Understand and ensure implementation of emergency procedures and safe systems of work.Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety rules, signage, and instructions.Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions.

Behaviours and Experience

Experience of supervisory management in a production organisation.Experience working in a pharmaceutical, FMCG or other regulated production operations.Experience training team members.Time management and problem solving skills.Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six-Sigma training and experience is highly desirable.Ability to demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.Self-motivated and reliable with a good work ethic.MS Office working knowledge.Experience with managing the Dispensing and Manufacturing activities for Aqueous and/or Aerosol (MDI) Suspensions is highly desirable.
