Housing Service Lead

Job Title: Housing Service Lead Location: Essex and Norfolk – Remote with travel to Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Chelmsford, Southend DBS Level: Enhanced Adult Service Users: To be determined based on location confirmation.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week Car Driver Needed: Yes Own Vehicle Needed: Yes Valid Business Insurance Required: YesLone Working: Yes Working from Home: Yes Number of Properties: Approximately 65 bedspacesMain Duties: As the Housing Service Lead, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Support Workers to provide high-quality, effective supported housing and housing management services to various service user groups, including individuals on bail, prison leavers, and those navigating the criminal justice system.

Your role will involve ensuring that services meet the needs of service users, contractual requirements, and organizational financial targets.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the support planning and safeguarding processes
Working with vulnerable adults with complex needs (e.g., substance misuse, physical health issues, mental health challenges, seeking employment and housing support)
Providing evening Bail Induction cover as needed due to staff shortages.
Participating in a national on-call rota

Essential Criteria:

Full UK Driving Licence
Valid Business Insurance for expense claims
Enhanced DBS Certificate
Willingness to undergo HMPPS check; applicants dismissed by HMPPS are ineligible.
Availability to work 9 am – 5 pm, with occasional evening Bail Induction cover.
Willingness to be part of a National On-Call Rota
