Residential Support Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Residential Support Worker with experience of working with children and young people to join a well-established organisation, providing residential care for young people. This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary range of £22,000-£27,000. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be assisting young people in developing essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and personal care. You will be responsible for: ? Managing household tasks and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness. ? Supporting social and recreational activities both within and outside the home. ? Encouraging independence while providing emotional and practical support. ? Attending meetings and reviews to contribute to care planning. ? Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment. ? Working collaboratively with professionals and external agencies. ? Taking responsibility for the service in the absence of senior staff. What we are looking for: ? Previous experience working as a Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Childcare Worker, Care Worker, Care Assistant or in a similar role. ? Experience of working with children and young people. ? Knowledge of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation. ? Familiarity with child abuse/child protection issues. ? Ideally hold NVQ Level 3 or above qualification in Social Care/Social Work or equivalent or willingness to work towards it. ? Enhanced DBS check. What's on offer: ? Competitive salary ?
