A roofing and cladding contractor based in Gloucestershire is looking for a Senior Estimator to prepare detailed cost estimates, ensuring projects remain within budget and are completed on time.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analysing drawings and specifications, calculating material, labour, and equipment requirements.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to assess feasibility and cost factors, supporting budgeting and planning efforts.
Prepare tender documents, manage the bid process, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure clarity and competitiveness.
Carry out site assessments to understand project complexities, verify measurements, and anticipate potential cost-related challenges.
Track actual project costs, identify variances, and recommend adjustments to maintain profitability.
Maintain accurate records, ensure documentation is audit-ready, and contribute to compliance with internal systems and procedures.
Produce estimates using current market data and precise assumptions; review thoroughly for consistency and accuracy before submission.
Requirements:
GCSE English & Maths
Construction or engineering related qualification
5+ years of estimating experience in construction
Background in roofing & cladding systems
Understanding of UK building regulations, Roofing & Cladding Systems, Quality Control & Assurance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with IMS (Integrated Management Systems)
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and analytical skills
Willingness to travel
