Children's Social Worker

Swindon Borough Council are looking for a Children’s Social Worker to join a Family Safeguarding Team
This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.
About you
You will be an enthusiastic and committed Social Worker with substantial knowledge in an Adult’s setting.

You will have knowledge of key legislation as you will be working in accordance with it.

It is also essential to have a degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) – with a minimum of three years in an Adult’s Social Work setting.

A valid Social Work England registration is required.

Full UK driving license is preferred.

About the team
The team works within pods to optimise the management, oversight, and support to all Social Workers.

There are 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager per POD.

The team undertakes comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome focused care plans with Children and their Families.

They also undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public.

Candidates living 50 plus miles from Swindon are entitled to claim a flat rate of £100 per week to use towards either accommodation or mileage.
