HVAC Engineer

HVAC Engineer - Lancashire - Salary up to £45,000 DOE CBW has a new opportunity for a HVAC Engineer to join an established FM company on a permanent basis.

The sucessful candidate willl provide  building services and maintenance to commercial buildings.

This will include fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation.

Key Responsibilities: • Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced airconverter units, pumps, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves and capillary tubes.• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioningequipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs; service and repair evaporative coolers.• Perform skilled electrical maintenance work in the repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed; connectmotors to control panels.• Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; flushboilers, descale tubing; rebuild pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps.• Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment as necessary.• Completes maintenance and repair records as required.

Reviews assigned work orders. • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.

Issue of Permitsto Work• Ensure that all HVAC equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.

Person Specification: • In country Qualified HVAC Technician In-country Licensed HVAC Technician.• In-country F-Gas License (If required in the country)• Knowledge of standard practices of the HVAC and refrigeration trade and theory of HVAC andrefrigeration systems.• Knowledge of air compressors and pneumatic controls.• Knowledge of cooling towers and boiler water treatment.
