Hours per week - 37 hours per week
Rate of pay - £221ltd per day
The London Borough of Hillingdon are seeking a Virtual School Education Officer to join their team.

As a Virtual School Education Officer, you will manage a caseload of Looked After Children to ensure that they have the support in place to overcome barriers to their learning so that they achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of around 35 Looked After Children
Track and monitor progress and attendance
Arrange and chair Personal Education Planning meetings
Agree targets and action plans to support education
Provide support to foster carers and residential home key workers, social workers, personal advisors and designated teachers/student support services in schools and colleges

Requirements:

Experience in working with Looked After Children
Knowledge of the education system and the challenges faced by Looked After Children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
Excellent organisational and time management skills

Qualifications:

A degree in Education or a related field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is desirable
Experience in working with Looked After Children
