Ductwork Installation Engineer
Job Title: Ventilation & Ductwork Installation Engineer Package : £26-32,000pa / 21+8 days holiday / Van / Door to door / death in service / 4% pension / We are a dynamic Midlands based HVAC company with a large presence within the pub sector, providing HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) solutions, specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance for over 20 years building strong relationships with our clients across the Midlands, Worcestershire and down to Northampton.
We currently employ 45 member of staff and are continuing to grow due to bringing on more work and clients.
As a Ventilation and Ductwork Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of ventilation and ductwork systems for various projects.
Your expertise in HVAC installations and hands-on experience with ductwork will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective system performance.
You will work closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate installation while adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Install ventilation and ductwork systems based on project specifications, drawings, and design guidelines.( ductwork, Fans, Ceiling grills )
Interpret and understand technical drawings, equipment schedules, and installation instructions to guide the installation process.
Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment and materials.
Carry out ductwork fabrication, assembly, and installation, ensuring accurate fitting, sealing, and insulation.
Perform system commissioning, including balancing airflow, adjusting dampers, and verifying system functionality.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations, and health and safety guidelines during installation.
Conduct quality inspections to verify that installed systems meet design requirements, specifications, and client expectations.
Identify and rectify any installation issues or deviations from design specifications, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors.
Perform functional tests and measurements to validate system performance, including airflow, pressure losses, and temperature control.
Identify and troubleshoot installation issues, such as duct leaks, airflow imbalances, and equipment malfunctions.
Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
Qualification / Experience
Certification in HVAC installation or similar is preferred.
Proven experience 3 years as a Ventilation and Ductwork Installation Engineer, preferably within the HVAC industry.
Solid understanding of ventilation and ductwork installation principles, including duct sizing, fitting methods, and sealing techniques.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, regulations, and health and safety guidelines related to HVAC installations.
