Japanese Head Chef

Job Title: Japanese Head ChefLocation: BrusselsSalary: €42.000 - €48.000 NETTOStart Date: July 2024I am looking for a Japanese Head Chef to join one of the most prestigious Japanese restaurant in the hearth of Brussels!This restaurant is yet to open, tracking for opening in July 2024 and will be located in a fantastic hot spot where everyone will want to come and dine .My client is looking for a Chef who has experience and is super motivated with a network of suppliers in the Belgian market.You need to be able to converse in English (French is a plus but not compulsory).My client is looing for a person who can leave the ego at the door and can stimulate his team in a positive way and create a positive culture.They go by the motto that a happy workforce will create memorable experiences as a TEAM.
You will need to have experience in Japanese cuisineExperience in sushiExperience in high-end restaurants is a plus but not compulsory.

You don't have to be a Head Chef in another restaurant.You can currently be working as a Sous-Chef or Chef de Partie.

Your work week will be 40 hours per weekYour Days off are Sunday (a second weekly day off can be discussed case by case)
My client is looking to hire the Head Chef at least 2 months before the opening, between the 1st and 31st of July, depending on the construction progress.If necessary, the hiring process can be expedited to ensure your availability.You will assist in recruiting the rest of the kitchen team, which should be hired 1 month before the opening.You will lead a kitchen team composed by 10 people:2 Chefs de parties, 3 Demi chefs, 3 Commis chefs, 2 plongeIf you have a deep knowledge of sushi, then you will lead 2 extra people: 1 Head sushi chef, 1 sushi chef
