Are you curious and committed to solving problems and driving great delivery?Would you like to work alongside our Board and Directors to help us make a better future for people and the environment in mining areas?If so, read on... As Head of CEO Office, you'll be the principal adviser and a strategic partner to our Chief Executive.  You'll support them to lead the organisation, deliver our Business Plan and 10 year Vision to make a difference for communities across Great Britain.  Providing high-level leadership, you’ll  ensure the efficient and effective operation of the CEOs office and the wider organisation. Assisting the Chair and Board, you'll work closely with our Executive Leadership Team.

This will look different on any given day so your skills of being curious, resilient and passionate about making a difference will be essential.Using your expertise and knowledge, you'll collaborate with colleagues across the organisation and work with external partners. You'll help the Coal Authority give great customer service and bring intelligence, learning and a wide range of voices into our decision making.You’ll be highly organised and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and an ability to think proactively.

You’ll have the ability to prioritise, have attention to detail and take a pride in managing things well and seeing opportunities for continuous improvement.

This will include managing the CEO’s office and providing key support to the CEO so that they can use their time as effectively as possible. You’ll assist the CEO by managing relationships with the Board, ensuring an effective Secretariat is provided to the Chair, Board, Committees and Executive Leadership Team.You’ll advise and support on internal and external engagement and manage escalated correspondence.

You'll enable good customer service and ensure that intelligence and learning is used to inform continuous improvement. You'll have opportunities to lead organisation wide strategic projects on behalf of the CEO, helping the organisation continue to evolve and be efficient and effective.You’ll need to work collaboratively with teams at all levels across the organisation to enable delivery, solve complex problems and ensure efficient and effective delivery. You'll work externally in a way that embodies our values of Trusted, Inclusive and Progressive.This is a new opportunity to influence our approach at a senior level.
