CNC Turner

You have the opportunity to apply for a CNC Turner position with a company that have been established since the late 1800s.

Now employing over 1000 people worldwide, this engineering powerhouse supply into a number of high-profile industries including Defence, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.

Based in Huddersfield, just 10 minutes from the M62, the successful CNC Turner will easily be able to commute from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.

For the CNC Turner position, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:

Formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline (HNC, HND, BTEC/NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3, Apprenticeship etc.)
Stable work history with experience working in a heavy machining / engineering environment
Programming skills (editing OR creating from scratch) – all controls will be considers as full training will be provided



Working hours of the CNC Turner:
Rotating AM & PM shifts working an average of 37 hours per week – 18% shift allowance is applicable:

AM Shift: 40 Hours per week

Monday to Friday 06:30 to 14:30

PM Shift: 34 Hours per week

Monday to Thursday 14:30 to 22:00
Friday: 14:30 to 18:30




In return, the CNC Turner will receive:

Base Salary: £33720 (£39789.

including 18% shift allowance)
Immediate enrolment to the company pension scheme – up to 13% combined contribution
Access to the onsite canteen and gym
Permanent employment with long-term stability
