Adoption Social Worker - Part-time

An 'Outstanding rated' Adoption Charity are looking for a home-based Social Worker that will be working closely with birth relatives to join their team covering the Buckinghamshire area, with homebased working.

This is a part-ime, permanent position working 2.5 days a week, working from home.


You will support birth relatives whose children have a plan for adoption or have been placed for adoption.

Working closely with colleagues in Buckinghamshire CounciL, you will provide support through individual sessions, support groups and drop-in sessions.


This role will include supporting birth relatives to meet with adoptive parents and to help birth relatives understand the importance for children, to keep connected to their relatives and significant people from their past.

Your responsibilities:

Requirements of you as the Social Worker:

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
Experience of working within adoption or fostering
A working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Location: Homebased, covering Buckinghamshire and the surrounds
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum, FTE
