Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager – Aerospace Engineering
Ramsgate, Kent plus travel to Stansted and Luton sites as required

Opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to lead health, safety, and environmental compliance across multiple UK aerospace sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation and environmental standardsMaintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of ISO and industry-specific regulationsManage audits and inspections from regulatory bodies and certification agenciesRisk Management
Carry out risk assessments, hazard identification and safety reviews across all facilitiesDevelop and implement control measures to reduce operational riskLead incident and accident investigations, driving corrective and preventive actionsPolicy & Procedure Development
Create and update site-wide EHS policies, manuals and safety documentationEnsure all documentation is communicated, accessible, and fully implementedTraining & Safety Culture
Deliver or coordinate EHS training across all levels of the organisationPromote a positive safety culture via toolbox talks, awareness campaigns and team engagementConduct structured EHS inductions for new staff and contractorsMonitoring & Reporting
Track safety KPIs and environmental metrics across sitesMaintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and regulatory dataUse EHS data to identify trends and drive continual improvement initiativesSite & Project Safety
Conduct regular safety inspections and internal auditsAdvise engineering and project teams on safe and sustainable practicesEnsure HSE standards are upheld during maintenance, construction, and operationsEnvironmental Management
Manage waste disposal, pollution controls, and sustainability measuresSupport environmental impact assessments and compliance for ongoing projectsChampion carbon reduction and resource conservation initiativesHealth Surveillance & Occupational Risk
Manage employee health surveillance programmesMonitor for early signs of work-related health issuesEnsure all COSHH assessments are current and implemented effectively________________________________________
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager or Lead Advisor roleBackground in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or other high-risk industriesIn-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation and ISO standardsNEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essentialSkilled in risk assessment, accident investigation, and EHS training deliveryStrong leadership, influencing and communication skillsWillingness to travel between Ramsgate, Stansted and Luton sites as required________________________________________
