Health and Social Care Apprenticeship - Tenterden

We are looking for a full-time flexible Support Worker to support a gentleman in his own home. He enjoys support by people who are enthusiastic and able to help him to gain confidence and enhance his independence.

This gentleman loves films and music, woodwork, arts and crafts and would like to be supported by people who share these same interests. He has a great sense of humour and likes his support team to be able to share a joke or two.

He needs people with patience and compassion who support him in managing his emotions. He has many interests, including Doctor Who, Star Wars and WWE, so if you also enjoy these it would be a bonus!

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one person-centred support to an individual in their own home, promoting independence, choice, and dignity. Build a trusting, supportive relationship based on mutual respect, patience, and empathy. Support the individual to manage emotional well-being, using calm, compassionate communication and behaviour support strategies. Encourage engagement in meaningful daily activities, including arts and crafts, woodwork, film, and music appreciation. Accompany and support the individual in enjoying hobbies and interests such as watching movies, listening to music, and exploring pop culture (e.g., Doctor Who, Star Wars, WWE). Foster confidence and self-esteem through positive reinforcement and goal-focused support. Work collaboratively with a small team to ensure consistent, high-quality care across all shifts. Assist with everyday tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties as needed.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your studies.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12-month apprenticeship you will have gained; Adult Care Worker - Level 2 Apprenticeship. 

Training Outcome:

Possibility of a full-time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
