Quality Engineer
Salary: £36k increasing to £38k after completion of probation
Location: Reading
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering aerospace company in the Reading area, who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team and increased production capabilities.
Quality Engineer responsibilities:
- To aid and assist the production of First Article Inspection Reports and to be able to use a CMM.
- Responding to and managing all NCRs both Customer and internal and reporting them.
- Liaise with customers/suppliers on all quality matters, queries, and non-conformances.
- Undertaking monthly internal audits and report NCRs and 8D investigation.
- Control all external and internal equipment calibrations.
- Ensure all site related suppliers/sub-contractors have appropriate approvals and certification.
- Collate, document and issue quality and delivery performance KPIs, weekly and monthly to the management team.
- Liaise with all levels of staff (management to shop floor) on all aspects of quality and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the management in developing a continuous improvement culture.
- Maintain current approvals for AS9100 & Nadcap.
Quality Engineer requirements:
- Experience of working within an aerospace or precision engineering environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working with FAIRs, NCRs and 8D methodologies.
- Experience of working to ISO9001 and AS9100 accreditations.
