Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprentice
Assisting with routine maintenance, including tasks such as oil changes, tyre changes, brake inspections and fluid level checks.
Learning Diagnostic Procedures, under supervision identifying and diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment.
Performing repairs, assisting with minor and potentially larger repairs on various HGV components and systems.
Learning about safety regulations, both safety protocols and vehicle inspection and maintenance standards.
Completing and accurately documenting work performed, and materials used.
Attending training, participating in classroom based learning, and practical workshops.
Follow instructions, adhering to the guidance and instruction of qualified technicians.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Complete all Health and Safety training required for your role.
Training:
The apprentice will train four days a week at their employer’s workshop and attend Northampton College one day a week for classroom and practical learning.
Training Outcome:
There is a possibility for the apprentice to stay with the company after completing the programme, depending on performance, attitude, and business needs.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, worked between 08:00 and 17:00- including day release.
