Salary: £30,000 - £46,520 + Excellent Benefits
Term-Time, Permanent, 52 weeks per year
The Client:
A reputable educational firm, our client provides education for children and young people with severe intellectual disabilities within the autistic spectrum continuum.
The Role:
As a SEN Teacher, youll assess, plan, monitor, and implement Individual education programmes and support plans for children on the autistic continuum or with severe learning difficulties.
Responsibilities:
? Foster a culture of gentleness within the classroom and school community.
? Deliver a diverse and balanced curriculum, meeting relevant requirements.
? Organise the classroom to create a stimulating learning environment.
? Collaborate with professionals to develop learning programs for pupils.
? Promote effective communication with parents through various channels.
? Stay updated on educational developments, particularly in autism.
? Contribute to whole-school development planning.
? Lead a curricular area and contribute to its development.
? Take responsibility for an additional area / activity / process of the school.
? Attend courses and disseminate learned skills to the staff.
? Undertake additional duties identified through the school development process.
Requirements:
? Previously worked as a Teacher or in a similar role.
? Experience in working with children with autism and/or severe learning difficulties.
? Possess QTS and relevant experience.
? Knowledge of modern SEN teaching strategies.
? Understanding of curricular needs for pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties.
? Understanding of Equal Opportunities Policy.
? Computer skills for teaching and planning purposes.
? Background working with students with diagnosed difficulties, SALT, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia etc.
