Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Manager Uxbridge, London Temporary, 4 month contract Immediate Start Full-time, 36 hours Mon-Fri, 9:00-17:00I am seeking a proactive Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Manager to oversee a service dedicated to delivering advice and statutory assessments on housing options while preventing homelessness.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading a team to effectively manage the council’s allocation and re-housing services, ensuring the maintenance of housing registers and transfer lists.
Resolving accepted homeless cases promptly to meet client needs within available resources.
Ensuring operational service delivery is consistently accurate, flexible, and responsive to client needs.
Leading and contributing to strategic improvements within the service and across corporate priorities.
Essential Requirements:
A degree or equivalent experience in Housing Management.
An enhanced DBS.
Expert knowledge in the operational delivery of statutory homelessness or housing allocation services.
Willingness to participate in an Emergency Out of Hours Housing Service rota.
Significant management experience leading front-facing teams.
Experience in complex case work and case work management systems.
A successful track record in management within a Housing or similar organisation.
Ability to identify, develop, and implement innovative, cost-effective solutions.
Strong project management skills, including budget management.
Comprehensive understanding of relevant policies, legislation, and strategies related to housing and social care.
Ability to translate complex legislation into local policy and practice.
Excellent ICT skills and familiarity with service-specific software.
