Machining Technician (CNC) Apprentice
Safe operation of CNC milling machines & lathes
Setting up of tooling, & managing tool wear in operation
Setting up machines, CNC milling & lathes
Monitoring of machine once in operation
Learning to read & edit CNC programmes
Learning to understand & read technical drawings & specifications
Use of a wide range of technical measuring equipment used in the control of quality
Training:
This is a 4 year apprenticeship. In year 1, you will attend Nelson and Colne College on full year term time college attendance. In year 2 - 4, you will work in company 4 days a week and attend Nelson and Colne College on day release.
Training Outcome:
There may be the opportunity to go on to higher level study or secure full time employment if successful in completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 08.00 - 16:45. Friday, 08.00 - 12:00. 37.5 hours per week.
