Medical Administration Apprenticeship
Reception duties include handling telephone and face to face queries
Booking appointments for patients via the telephone or face to face
Handling completed repeat prescriptions when required
To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures and work in accordance with written protocols
Registering new patients
Actioning tasks on SystmOne
Maintaining accurate patient records
Register patients for appointments and prescriptions
GP Registration links - deductions and amendments
Training:
You will work towards an Advanced Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, delivered by VQ Solutions. You will have a dedicated VQ Mentor and will also be supported internally by your manager. During this apprenticeship, you will develop a portfolio, attend workshop sessions and have regular reviews. The best part? All apprenticeship work will be completed during working hours.
Training Outcome:
The majority of our apprentices are offered full-time employment upon the successful completion of their apprenticeship. Previous apprentices at surgeries have progressed to be Assistant Practice Managers, trainee Phlebotomists and trainee Nurses.
Employer Description:
We are a 4 partner GP practice based in the heart of the historic market town of Knaresborough. We pride ourselves on team work and are fortunate to have new directly bookable services including physio and pharmacist appointments that you can arrange without speaking with a GP. Our reception team is here to help signpost you to the most appropriate service. Please give them as much information as possible so they can help you. All these additional roles work closely with and receive advice from the GPs. We are also promoting the new consultation form which you can upload pictures to - you will receive a response to these within 48 hours. Working Hours :
Monday to Friday on a shift rota with hours between 08.00 and 18.00. Exact shifts to be confirmed. There is flexibility with the start date, the employer is keen to find the most suitable candidate.
