Following appropriate policies, procedures and systems ensuring the educational, social, physical, emotional, health and welfare needs of the children are always met.
To become involved in children’s activities to stimulate and extend their learning.
To demonstrate sensitivity toward children and families within the facility.
Assisting in the admission and induction of new children.
Assisting in the maintenance of all necessary records to meet internal, E.Y.D.C.P and Ofsted requirements.
To take an active role in the promotion of excellent health and safety practices.
To respond effectively to any health and safety issues that may arise and report any necessary matters.
To participate in training and meetings as requested by the management team.
Performing any other duties commensurate with the general nature of the position requested by the management team.
Training Outcome:
For the successful candidate there is the possibility of ongoing employment upon completion of the relevant qualification.
Employer Description:
The preschool is situated within the Blakelaw and Cowgate Families Matter Community Hub located on Lindfield Avenue nest door to Thomas Walling Primary School. Children have access to a wide range of developmentally appropriate good quality toys and equipment. We have At Home Bags that allow parents/carers to help their children continue their learning in their home environment. Staff are all qualified in Early Years with some staff having qualifications of Level 4 and above. The preschool offers a free flow environment that allows children to access both the indoor and outdoor environment all day and in all weathers. Children enjoy having a continuous provision where they can independently access the resources themselves and make choices. They enjoy fun, stimulating key group work where staff have observed and recorded children's interests and plan around extending these interests and knowledge.
Working Hours :
The setting is open Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm. Working hours between 20-30 per week, shifts to be confirmed.
