Roofer Apprentice
Duties to include but are not limited to:
Assisting with roof installation – understanding different roofing systems and how to lay different roofing systems including traditional slate, tile and fibreglass Assisting with cutting materials in preparation for roof installation Assisting with the installation of technical elements such as weatherproof flashings and solar panels Assisting with removal and preparation; stripping off old roof materials and preparing new roof with breathable membranes and timberwork Handling materials and tool; carrying and organising tools and materials, maintaining tools and cleaning up work areas, learning to safely use hand and power tools Learning Health and Safety Practices; following health and safety protocols, especially when working at heights, wearing proper PPE Team support: working as part of a team under supervision, communicating effectively with colleagues and other trades, performing general labour and clean up duties on siteTraining:
You will be working towards a Level 2 Roofer Apprenticeship Standard You will receive on and off-the-job training and support from an assessor and an Apprenticeship advisor You will be required to attend Cornwall College St Austell on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training
Training Outcome:
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will be a confident and competent in pitched roof installation, which could potentially lead to full time employment with the company.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm
