Training:
The candidate will pass their apprenticeship and achieve their Level 2 Hair Professional Standard qualification The candidate will also have the chance to learn and work towards their Functional Skills or GCSE retakes in both maths and English

Training Outcome:

Once having completed your Level 2 qualification, you will have the opportunity to work towards your Level 3 to further enhance your skills.

Employer Description:
Chameleons Hair and Scalp is a unisex salon. All aspects of hairdressing for all genders and ages are catered for. They are located in Plymstock, not far from the Broadway and only 2.6 miles from Plymouth City Centre. It was first established in 2000, in a basement 180 meters from where it is now. The owner, Teresa Wood worked as a stylist whilst teaching aspiring hairdressers to join the industry. With Teresa having an eye for talented individuals, the salon soon started to grow with young and highly-trained, stylists. Teresa took the opportunity to expand her knowledge and studied at university to become a qualified Trichologist, and is now a Consultant Trichologist. This makes her an expert in the science of the structure, function and diseases of the human hair and scalp. In 2019 Chameleon moved into a spacious two-story building that enabled them to create a Trichology Clinic on the first floor, as well as the hair salon situated on the ground floor.

Working Hours :
The successful candidate will be working 30 hours per week (over 5 days) between Tuesday – Saturday, with exact days and times to be confirmed with the employer directly around the candidates needs.
