Maintenance Operative Apprentice

You will gain practical, hands-on experience in a wide variety of repairs, maintenance, and refurbishments across our unique marina and holiday property complex. As part of your apprenticeship, you will develop real-world skills in carpentry, plumbing, decorating, health & safety, fault-finding, reactive maintenance, and customer service — all while working towards a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification. You’ll also be supported by our dedicated team and mentor, with structured training to help you grow in confidence and ability.

Assist with a variety of repairs including plumbing, joinery, painting, plastering, and general maintenance Learn how to safely use and maintain tools and equipment Support a safe, clean, and functional environment for both regular and holiday guests Work to industry standards of safety, security, and hygiene Take part in regular training and performance reviews to help you grow Learn about grounds maintenance and assist in the upkeep of the Marina

Training:

You will attend Kendal College one day a week. 



Training Outcome:

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity to potentially go into a permanently based role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Windermere Marina Village as a Maintenance Operative Apprentice. Set against the breath-taking backdrop of Lake Windermere, you’ll work in one of the most picturesque and inspiring locations in the UK.

Working Hours :
Expected hours: 40 hours per week over a 7 day rota. The role will include some weekend working on a rota basis. Shifts TBC.
