Job Title - LCV Maintenance Controller Team Leader
Salary – £34,000 – £37,000 + Bonus
Hours – Mon to Fri Days

My client, a well-established fleet maintenance company with depots across the UK is actively seeing to employ an experienced LCV Maintenance Controller Team Leader based out of a depot in the Ilkeston area to work on a full time & permanent basis.
Having five direct reports, the role will provide leadership and supervision of the activities that support the companies fleet management proposition.

You will be able to manage up and down the management chain driving change and delivering innovation to support the business in providing a best-in-class fleet management service.
Our ideal team leader will have previous experience in managing a team, ideally in the LCV/HGV industry with excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

LCV Maintenance Controller Team Leader

Responsibilities:

Ensure both teams within the LCV Maintenance management programme work to pre-agreed KPI’s.
Ensure all queries raised by Customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders are managed effectively and efficiently.
Ensure a full understanding of the company’s system and process and consider how they may work in conjunction with the business and supply chain to enhance efficiencies.
Ensure a strong focus upon the management of the VOR program to ensure vehicles back on the road at the earliest possible opportunity.
Ensure prompt processing of all PO requests from suppliers, including, e mail / telephone requests.
Ensure the teams operate with a strong Customer Focus and an equally strong commercial understating of their impact.
Ensure all cost saving and revenue generation opportunities are captured within the team’s day-to-day performance.
Ensure accurate reporting is maintained in order to ensure a clear understanding of performance and achievement.
Ensure we are achieving the most cost-effective repairs in line with our high-quality standards.

Risk & Compliance:

Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

Team Development:

As a line manager, you will be responsible for increasing productivity and developing performance through coaching, mentoring and developing your team members.
You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

You have relevant experience effectively managing a team in a similar role
You've got an track record of delivering outstanding customer services
You're highly organised with strong attention to detail
You'll be knowledgeable and up to date on the latest transport legislation
You're a practical and efficient problem solver
You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

It is not essential but would be helpful if you had:

Have LCV / HGV Technical experience
