Commis Chef Apprenticeship

Assisting in food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting senior chefs in daily operations. All purchased and prepared foods are labelled, dated and food stocks rotated, kept in legal, hygienic conditions. Assist Senior Chefs on duty to ensure the smooth running of service. Ensure that all food preparation areas are maintained in a clean state and in good condition.

Training:

All of the training will be delivered to you within the workplace. You will have a trainer allocated to you who will see you once a calendar month. In between these training sessions, you will be expected to come away from your job role to focus on the activities assigned by the trainer. 



Training Outcome:

Upon completion of this standard, you will be able to progress to a level 3 apprenticeship, Chef de Partie is a natural next step, or Senior Production Chef depending on your working environment.

Working Hours :
This full-time position includes weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
