Healthcare Assistant - Neuro and Spinal Rehab
Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Neuro and Spinal Rehab Healthcare Assistant in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the specialist rehabilitation service of a prestigious private hospital in London. As a Neuro and Spinal Rehab HCA, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, effective, efficient care for patients and relatives.
You will primarily be involved in assisting nursing, medical and allied health Caregivers in the Cath/EP/IR Labs, always working in a manner that promotes privacy and dignity. Location: LondonEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-time Hrs: 37.5hrs (shifts) What’s in it for you? - Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience On a typical day you will: - Provide high quality patient care to patients under the supervision of trained nursing Caregivers and monitor the physical and emotional well-being of all patients in order to be aware of changes, alerting senior colleagues as necessary - Work with therapists/team members to ensure optimum cognitive, social, emotional, physical and functional recovery.
- Attend to and assist patients in achieving a high standard of physical care, including diet, hygiene and appearance.
- Provide first line response and 24-hour care to patients with acute medical conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy.
- Convey blood and specimens to the correct location as efficiently as possible, whilst giving due regard to the handling of such substances which may be of a bio-hazardous nature.
