Job Profile
As the CNC Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC machines (either Milling or Turning), including multi-station setups, carrying out a sequence of operations to produce high-precision component parts, ensuring full compliance with technical drawings, safety standards, and company quality procedures within a continuous improvement environment.

Duties:Set and operate CNC Turning, Milling, or Mill/Turn machines in accordance with setup sheets and engineering drawings, working with Fanuc and/or MazatrolLoad and unload components using manual handling or jib cranes, ensuring correct and safe placement in work holding fixturesPerform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring tools to verify conformance to specificationMake corrective adjustments via CNC offsets to maintain part qualityFollow “Right First Time” philosophy and contribute to a culture of continuous improvementEnsure adherence to safety standards, perform routine lubrication and maintain cleanliness of machine toolsReport tool or equipment defects promptly to minimise scrap and downtimeWork closely with Production Engineering, Quality, and Supervisors to resolve issues and drive efficiencyParticipate in Kaizen and lean manufacturing initiativesSupport colleagues and apprentices as a collaborative team memberCarry out additional tasks as directed by the Value Stream Manager
Skills/Experience:Proven experience in setting and operating CNC Turning and/or Milling machinesExperience with Fanuc OR Mazatrol controls would be idealCompetent in interpreting engineering drawings and understanding geometric tolerancingProficient in using precision measuring instruments and inspection techniquesGood manual dexterity and mechanical aptitudeFlexible, proactive, and able to work under pressure and to deadlinesDetail-oriented with strong organisational skillsTeam player with a positive and adaptable approach
Hours:8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
