Apprentice Engineering/Mechanical Fitter (Pipe)

Comply with appropriate health and safety, risk and quality requirements  Correctly select and safely use tools and equipment for the fabrication, assembly, installation and decommissioning of pipework components and systems  Plan, organise and undertake the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and decommissioning of pipework components and systems  Read, interpret and apply engineering drawing information  Shape pipework components using hand and power tools to cut, drill, and shape  

Training:

Engineering Construction Pipefitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

The training will be conducted mainly in the work place with on line learning once a week to cover all theory based units This role is very technical and will require a good level of maths and English

Training Outcome:
Engineering Design Site Management Quantity Surveying Estimating

CoTrain is a program under SECBE . As a shared apprenticeship scheme and a Flexible Job Apprenticeship Agency partly funded by CITB to provide a route into industry for anyone wishing to complete an apprenticeship. We employ and mentor the apprentice and place them with our construction partners and colleges to gain the correct experience & skills to complete their qualifications.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday site hours may vary but typically 8.00am start and finishing at 5.00pm. You will usually get two 30-minute breaks during the day. Additional hours may be asked if the workload requires it but are not mandatory.
