Signmaking Apprentice

As a Signmaking Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the core skills of the signmaking trade. This includes prodcution, installation, and maintenance of a variety of signage products. You’ll gain hands-on experience in the use of materials like vinyl, wood, metal, acrylics, and more, while developing your technical and creative abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with designing and- Learn to use specialist tools and machinery. Prepare materials for production and assist in installation of signs on-site. Work with various signage materials including vinyl, acrylic, and metals. Maintain a safe and organised work environment. Communicate with clients to understand their requirements. Learn to interpret technical drawings and instructions. Strong interest in design, creativity, and craftsmanship.

Training:

Signage Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
Training will be day release based at: The Engineering Centre (TEC), Danepark Road, Hull, HU6 9DX.

Training Outcome:

Opportunity to gain full-time employment if available and candidate performs well on apprenticeship.

Employer Description:
Dragonfly Sign and Display manage signage needs from start to finish, including planning applications in all environments including but not limited to: Airports, Hospitals, retail and leisure parks and the high street.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday (hours to be discussed at interview).
