Communications Apprentice

Internal communications:

You will be responsible for creating content for our internal communications platforms (print and digital) such as Blink, Newsletters, Booklets and company-wide email correspondence. You’ll also create animations and videos.

Social media and branding:

Not only will you create video content for our social media channels including the filming and editing of short videos, but you’ll support in the planning and scheduling of social media content.

External Communications & Marketing:

You’ll also assist in the creation, editing, and distribution of external communications/marketing materials.

You’ll also support our social value activities by attending engagement events eg school visits to promote road safety and publicising our positive impact in the communities we serve on all platforms. You’ll also help organise and coordinate events, webinars, trade shows, and other promotional activities to increase brand visibility. 

Training Outcome:

Higher level apprenticeship is an option on successful completion of this programme.

Employer Description:
VolkerHighways is a market leader in the delivery of highways and street lighting term maintenance contracts. We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
