Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
Assist with patient care activities under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs and collecting patient information. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Assist with patient education and provide support to patients and their families.
A Pharmacy Services Assistant will be involved in supporting the supply, preparation and assembly of medicines and products; issuing them to patients and other healthcare professionals and assisting in providing advice to patients to help them to make effective use of their medicines. They will be responsible for ordering and receiving medicines, as well as their storage, disposal and return. They will have an understanding of healthy lifestyle choices and relevant screening services.
Training Outcome:
The apprentice may secure full-time employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
The pharmacy operates over 7 days, shift pattern may vary and will be discussed at interview.
