Fitness Equipment Technician Apprentice

Summary

This customer-facing role will provide the highest level of customer service to all customers. Offering repair resolutions for all reported product faults Preventative maintenance servicing Fault diagnosis and general maintenance of fitness equipment. Attend to commercial and residential customers to repair reported issues within the specified service level agreement, as allocated by the Service Centre. Update and completion of each job on the system. Ensure correct parts usage and stock control of van stock. Responsibility for ensuring all company property is maintained and departmental KPI’s are achieved.

Experience and Skills

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively under their own esteem. They must possess a professional manner and have the ability to build good working relationships with customers.

Full, clean UK driving license.

Training:

1 day a week at Basingstoke College of Technology and the remaining time at the apprentice's workplace. 

The City and Guilds Diploma will be assessed via Examinations, written assessments, and practical assessments. Your knowledge and competence will also be assessed on-site at the workplace by means of written report write-ups, observation, professional discussion, and employer witness testimony through an online portfolio system.
To complete your apprenticeship, you will need to successfully pass an End Point Assessment, which includes an observation and an interview.

Future progression with the employer and to be fully qualified

Working Hours :
The normal weekly hours of work must total a minimum of 44 hours per week, including travel time (based on Monday to Thursday, 9 hours and Friday 8 hours, excluding a 30-minute unpaid break). This role also gives day release for attending college.
