Level 4 Engineering and Manufacturing Apprenticeship

As a Level 4 Engineering and Manufacturing Apprentice at Neptune Injection Limited, your daily tasks will include:

Injection Mould Setup and Maintenance: Safely mounting and dismounting injection mould tools on Arburg and Demag machines to ensure efficient production cycles.

Process Optimisation: Collaborating with engineers to analyse production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Quality Assurance: Conducting regular inspections of moulded products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and making necessary adjustments to maintain product integrity.

Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on injection moulding machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Technical Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of production processes, machine settings, and maintenance activities to support continuous improvement initiatives.



Training:

This apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Upon completing the Level 4 Engineering and Manufacturing Apprenticeship at Neptune Injection Limited, you will have a solid foundation for career growth in the engineering and manufacturing industry. Potential career progression includes:

Manufacturing or Process Engineer – Work on improving production efficiency and troubleshooting technical issues.

Quality Engineer – Specialises in ensuring products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Production Supervisor or Team Leader – Oversee manufacturing teams and processes to maintain high-quality output.

Tooling or Maintenance Engineer – Focus on the maintenance and optimisation of injection moulding tools and machinery.

Further Education & Qualifications – Progress to a Level 6 Engineering Degree Apprenticeship or a related higher education course.
