Chief Engineer - Leading Airport Hotel

A premier airport hotel in Amsterdam is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the engineering and maintenance team. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians.Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.Work closely with the operations and management teams to enhance guest experiences.Manage budgets and cost control for maintenance and energy consumption.Lead renovation and technical upgrade projects as required.Maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in an engineering leadership role within the hotel industry.Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.Understanding of fire and life safety standards.Experience managing maintenance budgets and projects.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team.Ability to work under pressure and solve technical challenges efficiently.Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
