Engineering Design Technician Apprentice
Work alongside specialist electrical manufacturing designers
Contribute to the preparation of bespoke power solutions
Produce designs and drawings for electrical systems to be manufactured by production engineers
Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Develop the ability to create technical drawings based on unique project requirements
Identify factors that influence design decisions
Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to produce engineering drawings
Communicate design information effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
Support the production team in the efficient and safe manufacture of products
Ensure products are delivered to customers on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations
Training:
Engineering Design Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
1-2 days a week at Oaklands College - The Campus, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6AH with regular visits from your apprenticeship skills coach in the workplace
Training Outcome:
Potential to progress onto higher level apprenticeship
