Working for this established and international business, the overall job purpose as the Electronics Design Engineer is the design of power supplies and associated electronic equipment for company products and control systems, many of which use embedded microcontrollers (ARM or PIC).

The Electronics Design Engineer will be working as part of a team on products such as LED light fittings, constant current regulators and other products.

The work will involve taking the project from initial conception through to production, and will include hardware and software design, the writing of product manuals, test procedures and other relevant design and production documentation.

There may be an occasional requirement for site work at UK or international locations.

Key Responsibilities as the Electronics Design Engineer:


Hardware Design
Software Design for embedded microcontrollers using C
Writing of product manuals, test procedures, production documentation.
Supervision of test and production personnel


The Electronics Design Engineer should ideally be qualified to degree level in Electronic Engineering and have:


Experience in a similar role
Electronic hardware design experience
Experience in the use of embedded microcontrollers, including ARM and PIC microcontrollers
Experience in the writing of firmware using C
Proficiency in the use of pcb CAD software

Salary to £32,000 pa
Standard hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5pm
