Minor Works Supervisor

Job Purpose:
As a Commercial Project Manager at the business your primary responsibility will be to drive contract value optimization, monitor divisional performance within the services business, and establish a consistent commercial framework for the projects business.

You will also play a key role in proactively managing risks to ensure projects are carried out safely and efficiently in alignment with Group policies and procedures.
Key Duties:

Collaborate with Company UK commercial, technical, and operational management to identify contractors and explore new business opportunities.
Work alongside the Contracts Manager to create annual business plans that highlight growth opportunities for small project operations.
Prepare project programs, method statements, and risk assessments.
Procure labor, materials, and subcontractors according to Company UK purchasing procedures while minimizing waste and costs.
Maintain open communication with Company UK management to keep them informed of contract progress and potential issues.
Based on projected project activity, build and manage a cost-effective, versatile team of Technicians.
Provide comprehensive management and supervision of Company UK staff and subcontractors.
Stay up-to-date with health and safety regulations, including CDM Regulations, and ensure compliance at all times.
Keep accurate project administration files and financial records.
Prepare monthly reports for the Contracts Manager detailing project activities.
Attend monthly internal meetings.
Provide operational support to other parts of the business as necessary.
Fulfill any other reasonable duties as requested.

Person Specification:
Skills:

Educated to HNC/HND standard (or equivalent).
Extensive experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of key operational management disciplines, such as quality control and work planning methods.
Capable of managing a portfolio exceeding £500k per annum.
Proficiency in IT tools including word processing, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
Valid full driving license (clean license desirable).
Thorough understanding of commercial and contractual issues.
