Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire (Hybrid)

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client, a pioneer in technical documentation and data management for over five decades, serves government and industry clients across the UK and Europe.

They excel in technical writing, translation, illustration, and logistics support services, alongside bureau scanning solutions.

The Role:

They are looking for a BID Manager for their Bid Management Function who will manage bids, implement winning strategies, and lead multidisciplinary teams for successful proposals.

This role offers hybrid working, blending home-based tasks with occasional office and customer site visits.

Duties:

? Efficiently manage day-to-day activities of the newly formed Bid Function, including team development and line management responsibilities.
? Develop and implement bids/proposals in line with company governance, including Delegation of Authority (DOA) approvals and financial considerations.
? Enhance and adapt business-winning processes, aligning with Shipley principles for Major Bids and Proposals.
? Create bid/capture plans, identify necessary resources, and manage bids/proposals, ensuring timely gate reviews.
? Lead bid/proposal team, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet customer needs.
? Collaborate with various functions (Capabilities, Commercial, Finance, HR, Senior Leadership) to manage multi-disciplinary bid/proposal teams.
? Maintain accuracy of CRM system, assisting BD & Commercial Director in opportunity management and reporting.
? Provide Defence market analysis, competitor insights, and strategic campaign plans to support BD & Commercial Director.
? Travel as needed for key bid reviews, team meetings, and customer engagements.


Requirements:

? Previously worked as a BID Manager or in a similar role.
? Proven success in bid management, using methodologies like Shipley Process.
