As the Fleet Category Lead, you will play a critical role in driving strategic procurement initiatives, optimising supplier relationships, and managing the procurement team to ensure the effective and efficient sourcing of all fleet-related goods and services.

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong background in procurement, supplier management, and fleet category expertise.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Fleet Specialist Procurement Manager to join a brilliant reputable business who can offer genuine progression opportunities.Responsibilities include:
Develop a procurement strategy and policy for the business in respect of purchasing, short term rental and leasing of vehicles.Sourcing vehicles in accordance with the policy.Forecasting ongoing demand for vehicle requirements.Manage communication with Insurance Provider and Broker to ensure claims are managed effectively and losses minimised, whilst organising appropriate insurance for drivers and vehiclesMonitor driver behaviour, support driver safety programmes and disciplinary action where necessary.Stay up to date on market trends and work with key suppliers to deliver value and improvement.
The Ideal Procurement Manager Candidate:
Minimum 5 years in a category management or fleet management environmentProven experience in fleet category procurement is highly desirable.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Have a hands-on approach with strong negotiation and admin skills.Good communication and organisation skills.
