Mechanical Fitter apprentice

Actively participates in HSE&S and activities, including the use of point of work risk assessment Install, fit, tests, assemble, commission, maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment Servicing and repair of customer machinery, in both a reactive and preventative situation Ensures safe systems of work are in place for both planned and reactive activities, including isolation of energy sources and the acceptance, understanding and application of Permit to Work (PTW) Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems both internally and externally of GV Engineering Performs mechanical diagnosis and corrective maintenance Builds, erects, constructs, disconnects and disassembly of parts and equipment as required Ensure all GV Engineering Assets, plant and equipment is fit for purpose, systematically maintained, fixed and checked through a methodical approach to all equipment (in turn minimises intervention and minimalises downtime) Continually looks for ways to improve all standards and ways of work, including the upkeep of the workshop, tools and equipment and PPE

Training:

Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying

Training Outcome:
A full-time role as a mechanical fitter
