Engineering Fitter Apprentice
Duties to include but are not limited to:
Maintain and ensure all machinery and related supply services are in a serviceable condition and fit for purpose. Respond quickly and effectively to unscheduled mechanical work arising to minimize any disruption to production. Carry out the installation of new machinery and the decommissioning of old machinery. Liaise with all department managers in the scheduling of any maintenance activity. Fabricate, machine or assemble spare parts on bespoke equipment requiring repair. Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment. Correctly diagnose any mechanical faults and repair as necessary.Training:
You will be working towards a Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship standard qualification. You will receive on and off the job training and support from an assessor and an apprenticeship advisor. You will be required to attend Cornwall College Camborne on a weekly basis as part of the apprenticeship training.
