Business Analyst - D365 Functional Consultant – Birmingham
Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant required for a leading client based in Birmingham to provide in-depth knowledge of the core D365 applications and evaluate the customer’s business processes against the standard D365 CE functionality as well as collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining a good understanding of current business processes.
Key responsibilities:
Dependent on the size of the project you will be working within a team of functional (and technical) consultants ensuring smooth delivery and a unified approach.
Participate in every aspect of the solution implementation from: workshops and analysing the customer’s requirements to configuring the D365 application and environment/release management
Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the customer organisation to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining a good understanding of current business processes.
Provide in-depth knowledge of the core D365 CE applications and evaluate the customer’s business processes against the standard D365 CE functionality.
Provide Project Management for smaller D365 CE Implementations including Budget, Resource, Milestones reporting supported by Crimson’s PMO function and senior / lead consultants.
Responsible for documenting the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected.
Pre-sales support including demonstrations and estimations supporting Crimson Sales and Consultancy teams as required.
If modifications/customisations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 application, the Functional Consultant should facilitate the customer’s decision-making process and in conjunction with senior / lead consultants develop the functional design document that will drive the development process.
Responsible for conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully adopt and maintain the D365 CE solution.
Have industry experience and understand challenges and risks when implementing vertically aligned
Technical skills:
Design, create and configure Dynamics 365 / Power Platform solutions implementing Crimsons ‘low code, no code’ approach.
Dynamics 365/CRM product experience on at least 2 of the following:
Sales – (Lead / Opportunity / Quote / Order / Invoice)
Marketing and campaigns
Awareness of add-ons e.g.
Click Dimensions/MailChimp/Microsoft Dynamics Marketing).
Service and Case management including SLAs and Entitlements.
Custom ISV/xRM solutions using Dynamics 365 & Power Platform.
Dynamics 365 / CRM Customisation and configuration including but not limited to;
Entity Design & Entity Relationship modelling implementing multiple relationship types.
Model Driven App Form Design.
Business Process Flows spanning multiple entities.
Classic Dynamics 365 Workflows, including various trigger events and conditional logic.
Dynamics 365 Dashboards including a combination of charts and list views.
Reporting using both the Dynamics 365 report wizard and able to identify where SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports may be used.
Model Driven Apps containing multiple system components.
Aware of the ability to perform ribbon customisation with 3rd party tools.
Where appropriate can implement complex field types (Rollup / Calculated / Customer).
Is proficient with the Dynamics 365 security model and which components of the system that can be restricted by security.
Where necessary, can write and interpret JavaScript within the context of Dynamics 365.
Understands and identifies the point at which requirements are more effectively met by the use of custom plugins / workflow assemblies and can articulate those requirements to the relevant colleagues.
The salary offered for this position is between £40,000 & £50,000 + benefits.
