Joinery Apprentice

The role will be site based.

Apprentices will work alongside qualified and experienced carpenters learning the trade and assisting in all aspects of carpentry, including:

All internal studwork Stair cases 2nd fix door fitting Skirting boards Architraves, assembly of timber framed modules Roofing beams & joists and any other duties as required

Reporting to the site manager and contracts manager.

Training:

The Candidate will follow a Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard programme and study towards a full Level 2 Site Joinery Standard. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West. Candidates will need to have Maths and English qualifications at GCSE grade 3 or higher, or Functional Skills Level 1 or higher. Additional qualifications in either sciences or construction related topics are desirable but not essential.

Training Outcome:

Permanent role at the organisation and achieving further studies. Progression within company.

Working Hours :
08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Thursday. 8:00 to 15:30, Friday.
