Fabricator / Welder Apprentice

JOB DESCRIPTION

Report to assigned mentor. To train in the use of machinery / equipment under the direction of skilled and competent workers. To work with one of the trained fabricator / welders on specific jobs for clients, learning to weld and fabricate steelwork to drawings as required. Make known any suggestions for improvement regarding any aspects of the workplace conditions (Health and Safety) to mentor.

Employer Description:
We were established in 1970 by the Harrison family offering engineering services to quarrying and road stone industries. We have grown, developed and diversified to suit changes in market requirements by forging long standing, secure relationships with our clients. Based on our five-acre site in Lancashire, we are central to the UK allowing easy nationwide coverage. Our workshops allow us to offer manufacture of new structures and off-site refurbishment works; our yards for storage and superstructure trial erections; our fleet of vehicles, plant & equipment also provide for installation, onsite regeneration, strengthening, servicing and maintenance works.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday between 8am - 4.45pm and Friday - 8am -12.30pm.
